FriarJnr's 156 has finally been done! After a few problems my body kit is all on and done. I do have a slight problem with the rear apron melting due to being so close to the SuperSprint exhaust. After a long run the apron was completely burnt through! It has been repaired and I'm keeping a close eye on it. I have got some exhaust heat shields but they all seem pretty crap and don't stick very well. Plus there is very little gap to try to squeeze them in. Still, on the whole it does look damn good! The car also had a few tatty bits of paintwork touched up and sprayed so now it looks a lot tidier. I think that I've forgotten to mention the very nice set of 18" alloys that I had fitted a few months back. The two front wheels have since had to be repaired, one from me kirbing it! and the other from some debris in the road!! I do now also need to get the front looked at again, the panels don't sit right anymore and the bumper has a crack in it so obviously some nice person has hit it whilst parked, what's wrong with people?!? Still, take a look for yourselves in the gallery. FriarJnr...

There have finally been a few changes around here. I have changed the menu to a more user friendly drop down system, the news section is categorized into years and the gallery section has been updated. I have also got my car back and it looks stunning! Unfortunately it has already got dirty so I want to give it a good clean and polish before I take any pictures and post them. The guys who sprayed and fitted the kit are BodyMaster GB Limited and they did a great job. Visit their web site at www.bodymastergbltd.co.uk The biggest change here though is that there's finally a forum!!! It's still in it's default form but I will be changing the layout in keeping with the rest of the sites look. In the mean time, it is fully functional so take a look. If you have any suggestion for new categories or boards for the forum, either contact me via the link above or through the forum. FriarJnr...

Update is coming, honest. I've been waiting for my body kit to be fitted
(to the 156 not me!!) and was then going to take photo's and do a huge update. But as with
everything else it seems at the moment, it's all gone wrong!! In all
there's been about a months delay. I got the whole kit off eBay but the side skirts that I got for it were advertised as genuine Alfa's, apparently they weren't. They do fit on an 156 no problems, just not with the rest of the kit! I've now got proper Alpha one's ordered direct so they should be fine. I have had the front and rear skirts fitted and half of each wheel arch flare kit, it looks well cool and the colour match is excellent. I can't wait to get it back all finished. It should be done next week so the
update WILL happen then, I promise ;-p Other news. My car passed the
MOT again with flying colours. Nothing needed doing to it to pass but
I did have to have a new windscreen prior due to 2 large stone chips,
1 right in front of me. No way would it have passed otherwise. Not amazingly
happy though as the new screen is slightly different, less black around
the edge so I can now see almost under the bonnet and the wiper links
etc when driving!! The bloke also put 1 wiper back on in the incorrect
position so I now get a nice clean 'A' pillar with the wipers on!! Will
sort that soon. Ho hum, at least it's safe now!! FriarJnr... |
